Trafalgar Square overflows with Palestine supporters
The wicked injustice inflicted by the Israeli regime on the long suffering Gazans over the past 60 years and especially during the last week brought 50,000 angry protesters to Trafalgar Square today. Despite the cold, the crowd still had the energy to then march on the Israeli embassy a further 3 miles away despite frequent police obstruction over the whole route.

I expected an ambulance, but a donkey cart carried the injured'
Ewa Jasiewicz is a journalist and activist. She is currently the project co-ordinator for the Free Gaza Movement, and one of the only international journalists on the ground in Gaza. Here is her account of a week spent trying to document the attacks.
Sunday
The shock of the first day of attacks, launched within minutes of one another, and killing over 230 people in 24 hours, has had no chance to sink in. Me and my friend Mohammad travelled up to Beit Lahiya today, in the north of the Gaza Strip, to spend the night with the family of a local human rights activist. Israeli missile fire jarred the journey; we leapt out and filmed at a burning paint factory in Jabaliya; no one was injured. As we drove away, another missile hit, this time a steelworks behind us; again we went to film. "Fi shaheed, fi shaheed," people were shouting, "There is a martyr," but we saw no one. We were the only car on the road. Our driver told us, "The streets are full of fear, nobody wants to go out."

Indiscriminate police brutality at Anti-Israel Protests
A demonstration that began non-violantly and in high spirits became the scene of chaos and violence as police unleashed indiscriminate violence and brutality against demonstrators in what appears to be a coordinated attack in a tunnel away from public view. Unknown numbers of protestors arrested and numerous injuries including one case requiring hostpital treatment.

Cambridge shows solidarity with Palestine.
While hundreds of thousands of people across the planet showed their solidarity today with the Palestinians currently being outgunned and massacred by a misguided Israeli government by taking to the streets of many cities, for those that couldn't join the massed ranks of protestors in London, they braved the freezing weather today in the middle of Cambridge to join an extremely well attended vigil.
