Activists entered the site in the small hours of Thursday, and promptly secured it with a two-storey tripod to resist any potential eviction, although in the event it was hours before the police arrived.
Construction work continues: loos are being built, marquees put up, fire lanes marked, etc. etc.. But more help is urgently needed. With hundreds of people expected to arrive on Saturday for the beginning of the workshops programme, all help will be greatly appreciated!
The site is in a fantastic location, close to the prime target of Thursday's 'Reclaim Power' day of action.
Location: Next to Barlow common Nature Reserve, off the A1041(T) north of Camblesforth south of Selby grid ref 635 287. Turn down Barlow common road andh you will find it!
LIMITED parking is available near the site but will be prioritised to those that need it. Other wise people will have to "drop and go" and park in Selby (ask on site for parking).
There will be a shuttle service from Selby train station to the site. Outside the train station is a climate camp info point. Call 07789362772 (from Saturday).
