In a year when England has experienced unprecedented flooding, signalling the serious impact climate change is likely to have the Time for Action on Carbon Emissions is Now!!! ...And yet both the British and American governments have failed to pursue tough, binding measures to reduce CO2 output at home or worldwide. As part of the Global Day of Protests timed to coincide with crucial UN Climate Talks in Bali, Indonesia, the Campaign against Climate Change have organised a major national protest...

With the Kyoto Protocol scheduled to run out, and America taking unilateral action to prevent a politically binding, replacement treaty, it falls to all of us to make our voices heard on this, the most pressing issue of our time. The march will pass Parliament and end at the American Embassy, calling on both these governments to implement tough, enforceable, national and international regulations on Carbon Dioxide output.

Please help ensure York is thoroughly represented on this demonstration; put the date in your diary, bring your family, tell your friends and colleagues, and spread the word.

P.S. We currently have one 53-seater coach booked, but know of many more interested people. We guarantee to run enough coaches for everyone who books before 24th November, and will try to meet all further interest after this date. In short: please book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Tickets should be on sale by Wednesday 24th October.
