Fur campaigners victorious in York
Posted October 11th, 2006 by AnonymousA second day of demo’s was held at fur sellers in York. Members of Northern Animal Rights Network visited city centre stores over two days. As a result there are now only 6 locations in Yorkshire where fur can be bought. The previous day an action was staged outside Eduardo's of York.
First stop was Sarah Coggles (Colliergate), where banners were unfurled outside just in time for opening. After 45 minutes, the owner came out and asked protesters to come in for a meeting. He gave lemonade and assured us that the fur would be permanently removed and he didn’t know about the cruelty involved until it was brought to his attention. Well done Sarah Coggles!
