York Goes Carnival!
Posted May 9th, 2007 by GrahamWall-to-wall ColourAt 1pm the gates of Dean's Park were opened and over 150 participants flowed out and into the streets of York, bringing with them music and colour. Two Samba bands, lots of children dressed in colourful costumes, many made from recycled materials, unicyclists, cyclists, jugglers and the like and more took part in the procession, which wound its way through the city's streets for over an hour.

Posted May 9th, 2007 by GrahamBig week for York
Posted April 29th, 2007 by GrahamThis week will be a busy one for the city of York, as citizens head to the polls on Thursday. Many will be hoping that BNP votes are kept to a minimum, with Acomb one of the more worrying areas. Final leafleting rounds will be undertaken, in the hope of ensuring as many votes cast for 'positive parties'. As both Labour and Lib Dems are seen by many as having failed the city, the results could be interesting.
