Film showing and discussion: Taking Liberties

Event time:
5 Jun 2007 - 18:30
Details:

The preview is this Tuesday (5th) and is followed by discussion. Film is also showing later during the week

The film:
Right to Protest, Right to Freedom of Speech, Right to Privacy, Right not to be
detained without charge, Innocent Until Proven Guilty and Prohibition from
Torture. TAKING LIBERTIES will reveal how these six central pillars of liberty
have been systematically destroyed by New Labour, and the freedoms of the
British people stolen from under their noses amidst a climate of fear created by
the media and government itself.

With contributions from the likes of Tony Benn, Boris Johnson and Mark Thomas,
TAKING LIBERTIES looks at the reasons behind this loss of liberty and what needs
to be done before it's too late.
